Make Your Voice Heard



The Embassy of Libya in the United States is working to ensure that the voice of Libyans in the US will be heard in the upcoming National Assembly elections, but we need your help.

The Libyan Embassy wants to highlight the strong interest of Libyan Citizens resident in the US to participate in the elections. The Embassy is asking Libyans to update their contact  information so that Libyans in the US can quickly be reached once the High National Election Commission finalizes its plans.

The Commission has the responsibility to organize the elections in Libya and has tasked the International Organization on Migration (IOM) to help organize elections for Libyan nationals in the US and other countries outside of Libya.

Please take a moment to update your contact information at www.libyanvotersinusa.com. The website also provides preliminary information regarding voter eligibility requirements for the June elections. We kindly ask that you register on the website by 31 May 2012.  Questions or requests for additional information should be sent to info@libyanvotersinusa.com






March 9, 2012. The Libyan Prime Minister Mr. Abdurrahim ElKeib held met with U.S. President Barack Obama





This morning President Obama welcomed Libyan Prime Minister Abdurrahim ElKeib to the White House—the first of several meetings the Prime Minister will hold with U.S. officials this week.
