The Embassy serves as a link between Libya and the United States by advocating opportunities for continued support in Libya’s democratic transition, fostering mutually beneficial collaborations, and providing services for Libyans studying, living, and traveling within the United States.

This an exciting time for Libya as we work towards building democratic institutions, civil society and a vibrant economy that benefits all Libyans.  We welcome the assistance in these efforts and are forever grateful to the United States Government and the American people for helping us in our greatest moment of need.
